This club has been involved in several very successful Model Railway Exhibitions, including Penrith Panthers, which raised $35,000 for Children's' Cancer Research at the Westmead Children's' Hospital.
This hobby is family orientated, educational and has many social aspects. In the past, many famous people have been involved in this hobby including, Prime Ministers, as well as fi lm and music stars.
As part of the Blacktown City Games Model Railway will be holding a three day event at Stanhope Gardens.
Displayed at the exhibition will be several Railway Layouts from the Sydney Area. Trade Stalls will have all the supplies needed for the construction of a layout.
There will also be craft stalls, static displays of Model Aircraft, Cars and Boats. For the kids there will be a ride on Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends. Demonstrations of Remote Controlled Aircraft, Racing Cars and many other interesting and exciting displays.
