The Blacktown City Games Ice Skating Competition will have 2 parts, Artistic and Ice Dance. The event will be open to skaters from Pre Preliminary level and up. Ice Dancing is a graceful and entertaining discipline of Figure Skating. Partners glide around the ice to the rhythms of a Tango, Waltz or Foxtrot. Artistic skating is interpretative. The skater is judged on their interpretation of the music, using skating moves, body and hand movements as well as facial expressions.
