Baseball

History

Baseball is a sport that caters for all ages and is played and enjoyed by men, women, boys and girls. Starting with teams as young as Under 6 and modified versions, such as Blast Ball, Teeball, Machine Ball, LiveBall and evolving into full Baseball for U14's and upwards.

Event Details

Baseball is primarily played during summer with its premier attraction the Claxton Shield being played late January. The Claxton Shield is being hosted by NSW this year and will be contested primarily at the Blacktown Olympic Park baseball complex from January 21 - January 28, 2006. The finals of the Baseball NSW Junior representative competition will culminate during February and March in the U12, U14 and U16 age groups. Baseball also offers diversity in participation, people also get involved through offi ciating - umpiring, scoring, administration, coaching, ground keeping and the canteen. Opportunities are available for both males and females to represent at Local, State and Australian levels.For more information please contact your local club
