Baton Twirling

History

Baton Twirling is a sport with a difference that combines various degrees and combinations of dancing, Gymnastics, hand / eye co-ordination and discipline depending upon the event and ability of the participant.

How to Participate

In NSW competitions are held by individual clubs for events such as Solo, Strut, One-Baton, Two-Baton and Dance Twirl, with the competitors vying for entry to the State Championships. At the State titles representatives are chosen to represent NSW at the annual National Championships. Rooty Hill RSL Youth Club Baton Twirlers has a proud heritage in this sport, having produced many State and National champions in both individual and team events.

The Event

State and National representatives will be present to perform displays of Baton Twirling, as well as athletes from NSW and inter-state, competing in several events for all age levels and abilities. This is a great opportunity to come and see a sport that is unique and fascinating, and if interested have a lesson.
