For the past thirty years the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club has been the main focal point for chess in the Blacktown Municipality. With eighty active members it is one of Sydney's largest, most prestigious chess clubs with players winning many tournaments and competitions. The club provides a meeting place for players of all strengths from beginner to master, and for all ages—at Rooty Hill our youngest member is 9 years old, the oldest is 75.

The club meets in the Kapyong Room at Rooty Hill RSL, Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill every Monday night from 7.00 pm. New players and visitors are welcome.

Monday nights from 7pm. You're welcome to watch or play. Annual fee is $25 which includes your annual affiliation to the NSW Chess Association.Visit it at www.rootyhillchess.org
