History
Rugby in the City of Blacktown started in 1961 with the formation of the Seven Hills Junior Rugby club playing out of Best Road Reserve, Seven Hills. The Senior Club started in 1978 as Seven Hills Rugby Club. Both clubs changed their name to Blacktown Rugby Club in 1985 to reflect their positions as the premier Rugby Clubs in the City of Blacktown.
In Under 5, 6 and 7 years the game is played as touch football. In under 8's and 9's players begin to tackle around the shorts only, there is no pushing in the scrums and no lifting in the lineout. The under 10's begin to play full field and progressively learn new skills each year.

How to Participate
Cost for juniors: (U5 to U17) ranges from free to $60 per player per season, with a maximum of $100 per family per season. There is no weekly cost to play after that.
Cost for seniors: Under 19 = $130
Under 21 = $150
Opens = $180 per season.
There is no weekly cost to play after that.
