Swimming
History
There are many swimming clubs based around Blacktown City. Blacktown City Swimming Club Inc. will host the Centenary Games and has a long and proud history of catering for swimmers who wish to swim socially or for those who wish to swim competitively. The Club was formed in October 1961 and has maintained a reputation as one of the strongest swimming clubs in the Cumberland District. We cater for all levels of ability from beginners to international level. We can proudly claim Olympic swimmer Michele de Vries (Montreal 1976) to our name. In recent years Blacktown City Swimming Club has competed successfully at District, Metropolitan, State and National level.
